{"id":1064,"date":"2023-02-11T21:05:41","date_gmt":"2023-02-11T21:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/HealthChicChatter.com\/?page_id=1064"},"modified":"2023-11-25T20:37:10","modified_gmt":"2023-11-25T20:37:10","slug":"crunchy-chickpea-snack","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/HealthChicChatter.com\/?page_id=1064","title":{"rendered":"Crunchy Chickpea Snack"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>(There are several options for these)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong><u>Ingredients &#8211; A:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1 15 oz can of chickpeas \u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1 tsp olive oil<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp cumin<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp garlic powder<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Salt &amp; pepper<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong><u>Ingredients &#8211; B:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1 16 oz can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) \u00a0<u><\/u><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/8 tsp of salt <u><\/u><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/2 tsp of garlic powder \u00a0\u00a0<u><\/u><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/4 tsp of ground black pepper \u00a0<u><\/u><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1\/4 to 1\/2 tsp of paprika \u00a0\u00a0(I like to use smoked paprika)<u><\/u><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1 Tbsp of olive oil \u00a0\u00a0<u><\/u><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong><u>Ingredients &#8211; C:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>1 can chickpeas<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp garlic powder<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp turmeric<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd-1 tsp cayenne<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp ground cumin<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp ground pepper<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u00bd tsp chaat masala (can sub with 1 tbsp lemon juice)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1 tbsp rice flour or corn starch (adds to crunchiness)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>1 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Salt &amp; pepper to taste<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Preheat air fryer to 400. Place chickpeas in a medium bowl &amp; use a paper towel to dry them (after rinsing &amp; draining). Add olive oil and spices and toss until well coated. Btw, you can easily add a little more or less of any of these spices and sometimes I\u2019ll even add a sprinkle of xylitol or stevia. Cook in air fryer 12-15 minutes and shake the basket (or toss them 1-2X) while cooking to ensure even cooking.
