I&#8217;ve made it multiple ways&#8211;with ground chicken, ground turkey,  and all veggie (zucchini, squash, mushroom, onion, water chestnuts). Each version was wonderful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1 tablespoon olive oil<br \/>\n1 pound ground chicken (or ground turkey, or the veggie mix suggested above)<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n1 onion, diced<br \/>\n1\/4 cup hoisin sauce<br \/>\n2 tablespoons soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar<br \/>\n1 tablespoons freshly grated ginger<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Sriracha, or more, to taste<br \/>\n1 (8-ounce) can whole water chestnuts, drained and diced<br \/>\n2 green onions, thinly sliced<br \/>\nKosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste<br \/>\n1 head butter lettuce<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"debra\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/healthchicchatter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/debra.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the chicken as it cooks; drain excess fat.<br \/>\n2. If adding vegetables, add these into the drained meat with a bit more olive oil and saute.<br \/>\n3. Stir in garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and Sriracha until onions have become translucent, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in chestnuts and green onions until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.<br \/>\n4.
