It reduces depression &amp; stress (see above)<\/li>\n<li>It tones up muscles, especially in the lower body<\/li>\n<li>It helps prevent varicose veins, increases circulation, &amp; strengthens bones<\/li>\n<li>It allows you to sleep better (see prior blogs on sleep)<\/li>\n<li>It promotes loss of waste products in the tissues<\/li>\n<li>It lowers the risk of injury compared to running\/jogging since it\u2019s low impact<\/li>\n<li>It supports your joints &amp; puts less stress on your spinal discs &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>It slows mental decline &amp; can lead to a longer life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most of all, it\u2019s probably the <i>easiest<\/i> form of exercise to do most anywhere. Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have a gym membership or a treadmill at home. Walking takes no special skills, no need for long practice sessions, and no other equipment other than a good pair of walking shoes.<\/p>\n<p>If you are still not convinced, let me share another walking benefit\u2026walking after a meal improves triglycerides levels and lowers blood pressure. So, what are you waiting for?
