Ingredients:
- ¾ pound ground beef
- Sliced CLEAN (no hormones, no antibiotics) deli meat of choice
- Half a jar (or more) of no sugar added marinara
- ½ -1 cup ricotta cheese
- Half to full package of CLEAN shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 2-3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Set the oven to 375.
For the sauce, cook your ground beef, then add a little salt, and pepper and then add your marinara towards the end and let simmer.
Mix half a cup of ricotta with the egg & parmesan.
Make a layer with the beef sauce and marinara. Add a layer of the ricotta mix. Sprinkle a thin layer of mozzarella cheese, then a layer of the deli meat. Repeat these layers at least one more time. (I haven’t gone further than 3 layers).
Bake for about 25 minutes covered, remove the cover, and bake another 10-15 minutes (ish) until the cheese is bubbly.
P.S. Make sure that your foil is “tented” if you don’t use a dish cover so the cheese doesn’t stick to it.
