2 Ingredient Donut Holes

Donut Ingredients:

  • ½ cup banana (about 1 large banana)
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp self-rising flour

Coating Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup sugar (or sugar substitute, like xylitol)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

Prep the Balls:

Lightly grease your hands with avocado oil. Take the mashed banana dough and roll it into small, golf-ball-sized balls. Leave about a thumb’s space between each ball on the air fryer basket. Aim for around 8 donut holes. Give the balls a quick spray with oil.

Air Fry Magic:

Set your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and let it preheat. Pop the donut holes into the preheated air fryer and cook for 7 minutes, until golden brown and fluffy.

Donut Deliciousness:

While the donut holes are cooling slightly, melt your butter or coconut oil. Dip each warm donut hole into the melted oil, ensuring all sides are coated. Prepare your sweet coating by mixing sugar (or your preferred sugar-free substitute) with ground cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll the oiled donut holes in the cinnamon sugar mixture, making sure they get a good coating.

Tips:

  • If the dough feels too sticky while shaping the balls, add a little extra flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it becomes manageable.
  • For a richer flavor, try using brown sugar instead of white sugar in the coating.
  • These donut holes are best enjoyed warm and fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
